TENNESSEE DR TEAMS REQUESTED

Baptist and Reflector

MOUNT JULIET — Tennessee Baptist Disaster Relief flood recovery teams are needed, according to Wes Jones, disaster relief specialist for the Tennessee Baptist Mission Board.

Arkansas Baptists have requested teams to assist with flood recovery. “They are having historic flooding in the state,” Jones reported.

“If you can put together a team in the next three to four weeks, please let me know as soon as possible and I will get you on their schedule,” Jones said, noting that Arkansas Baptists are planning on setting up in about six different locations around the state and “will assign us where needed.”

Jones noted that flood recovery teams also are needed in Oklahoma. In addition, Kansas is also experiencing flooding, but the state convention has not requested teams to date.

Jones added that the response to the tornadoes in Ohio is coming to a close. “They are not asking for volunteers,” Jones stressed.
