First Baptist Church, Linden, recognized Robert Warren for his 50 years of service as a deacon at First Baptist at the church’s 79th homecoming on Sept.17.
Austin Hall, youth minister at First Baptist Church, Newport, was ordained to the gospel ministry on Oct. 22 at the church.
Rome Baptist Church, Lebanon, recently ordained Levi Thommason to the gospel ministry.

O K Baptist Church, Lawrenceburg, has called Brandon Smith as pastor.
Gregg Hauss began serving Aug. 20 as director of missions for Fayette Baptist Association, based in Somerville. Hauss lived in Fayette County for 10 years while serving as a student pastor for 18 years at Bellevue Baptist Church in Cordova. He moved to Chattanooga in 2012 to serve as missions and family pastor at Red Bank Baptist Church. He later became campus pastor of The Point Church at Signal when Red Bank replanted Signal Mountain Baptist Church. He served as both campus and missions pastor until he was called to Fayette Association. Hauss said he is excited about the opportunity to plant and revitalize churches with Blue Oval City coming to the area.
- First Baptist Church, Linden, sent a 16-member mission team to Honduras on Oct. 6-12. They shared the gospel and did food ministry from house to house in Monte Redondo in preparation for revival services at Noah’s Ark Baptist Church. They are partnering with Forgotten Children’s Ministry. Team members are Teresa Brewer, Pam Qualls, Shelby Kilpatrick, Barbara Jackson, Sonya Bunch, Kaylin Whitt, Caden Jackson, Kenzi Jackson, Brian Jackson, Kasey Jackson, Linda Krueger, Frank Roach, Grace Jennings, Addison Jennings, Jerri Edge and Bill Edge.
