The event marked the transition of institutional leadership as interim president Walter Grubb ceremoniously passed the academy presidential medallion to new president Jeremy Sandefur, who assumed the role full time in early June. • The Robertson County Baptist Association recently held a VBS promotional event at the Robertson County Fairgrounds. Tammy Perko, the associational VBS Director, helped organize the event, which was an “equipment rodeo and concert.” The Association had originally scheduled to hold the promotional event last year — when the VBS theme was “Concrete & Cranes” — but it had to be postponed due to COVID protocols. The event featured kids tractor pedal races, giveaways, prizes, VBS information booths and concessions. Following the “rodeo,” a Christian concert was held.
