TBC CP Giving Below Budget

Baptist and Reflector

BRENTWOOD – Tennessee Baptist Convention churches contributed a total of $2,178,362 through the Cooperative Program in June.

For the year-to-date, Tennessee Baptists have given $22,345,002 through the CP giving channel to fund missions and ministry opportunities in the state, nation, and around the world.

After eight months of the 2013-14 fiscal year, CP gifts are $390,616 or 1.7 percent below what was given at the same point last year. Contributions also are $1,988,332 or 8.17 percent below budget needs.
TBC Executive Director Randy C. Davis observed that “obviously, June was not a good month for the Cooperative Program.

“But what is not readily apparent is that we are only slightly behind where we were this time last year in support of strategic Acts 1:8 Great Commission work in Tennessee and around the world,” he stressed.

“For that good news, we can rejoice. Thank you Tennessee Baptists.”
