FRANKLIN — Tennessee Baptist Convention churches gave $2,678,899 through the Cooperative Program in October.

For the 2021-22 fiscal year, which ended Oct. 31, Tennessee Baptists gave $34,791,766. The amount is $122,693 or  0.4 percent below the amount given at the same time last year.

The year-end total is $208,234 or 0.59 percent below the budget goal of $35 million.

“We are extremely grateful that during a year of economic turmoil in our nation that Tennessee Baptists gave nearly $35 million to meet missions and ministry needs across our state and around the world,” said Randy C. Davis, president and executive director of the Tennessee Baptist Mission Board.

“Rising gas and food prices did not deter Tennessee Baptists from giving generously and sacrificially to fund Great Commission causes,” Davis added.

“To God be the glory,” he said. B&R
