TBC CP GIFTS UP

Baptist and Reflector

FRANKLIN — Tennessee Baptist Convention churches gave $3,416,389 through the Cooperative Program in January.

For the year-to-date, Cooperative Program gifts total $9,263,010.
After the first quarter of the 2017 fiscal year, gifts are $233,474 or 2.6 percent more than was given at the same time last year. CP gifts also are $638,010 or 7.4 percent above budget needs.

“I appreciate the generosity of our Tennessee Baptist Convention network of churches. You’ve faithfully and consistently given through the Cooperative Program to financially support Great Commission work in Tennessee and around the globe,” said Randy C. Davis, president and executive director of the Tennessee Baptist Mission Board.

“It is our joy to report, because of the third strongest January in the last decade, we are above both CP giving for the same time last year and projected budget needs at this point. My hope and prayer is that the strong support will continue through the remaining three quarters of our Missions and Ministry budget year,” he said.
