MUSIC MINISTRY LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE DRAWS 400 PEOPLE (photos)

On Aug. 11-12, 400 worship musicians from across Tennessee gathered at First Baptist Church, Hendersonville, for the Music Ministry Leadership Conference. The conference featured keynote speaker Frank Page, president of the Southern Baptist Convention’s Executive Committee. Conference worship was led by Scott Shepherd, worship and music specialist for the Tennessee Baptist Mission Board; the Shepherd Family of Paris; the Tennessee Baptist Men’s Chorale; and the Tennessee Ladies Chorus. Conference participants attended breakout sessions related to individual interest and concentration in worship and music ministry. “We enjoyed a wonderful weekend of fellowship, encouragement, and training, as we strive to strengthen, renew, and revitalize worship in Tennessee Baptist churches,” Shepherd said.
