FORMER TBC PRESIDENT JACK MAY DIES AT AGE 89

MEMPHIS — Longtime Tennessee Baptist pastor John F. “Jack” May died March 25 at the age of 89.

May served as president of the Tennessee Baptist Convention in 1985 and was a past president of the TBC Executive Board (now Tennessee Baptist Mission Board).

A U.S. Army veteran, May served as pastor of numerous churches, mostly in Tennessee. May also served numerous churches in the Memphis area as interim pastor.
