YOUNG ADULT CONFERENCE MEETS GOAL

THOMPSON’S STATION — The first young adult conference sponsored by the Tennessee Baptist Mission Board went as well as anyone could have expected, said Ryan Keaton, emerging generations specialist for the TBMB. The conference at Thompson Station Baptist Church drew 180 registrants from 35 churches, Keaton said. Keaton said his desire is for an annual young adult conference along with regional conferences. JACKSON PASTOR TO NOMINATE RUMMAGE TO LEAD SBC PASTORS’ CONFERENCE

JACKSON — Stephen Rummage, pastor of Quail Springs Baptist Church in Oklahoma City, Okla., will be nominated for presidency of the 2024 Southern Baptist Convention Pastors’ Conference.  Adam Dooley, pastor of Englewood Baptist Church in Jackson, will nominate Rummage. “I cannot imagine a better choice to lead next year’s SBC Pastors’ Conference than Stephen Rummage,” said Dooley. “From my perspective, he represents everything that is good about Southern Baptists.”

‘HEARTBROKEN’: TORNADO HITS OBU CAMPUS AS STORMS LEAVE TRAIL OF DAMAGE
