Union news office JACKSON — David Blackstock, Union University’s athletic director for 34 years and women’s basketball coach for 18 years, died Nov. 1 at age 75 after a lengthy illness. TBC CP GIFTS FALL SHORT OF BUDGET GOAL

Baptist and Reflector FRANKLIN — Tennessee Baptist Convention churches gave $2,719,942 through the Cooperative Program in October. For the 2016-17 fiscal year Tennessee Baptists provided $33,859,359 through the Cooperative Program giving channel to meet ministry and missions needs in the state, nationally, and around the world.

Baptist and Reflector KNOXVILLE — Earl Wilson, retired president and executive director of the Tennessee Baptist Foundation, Franklin, died Nov. 7 in Knoxville. He was 89.
