Baptist and Reflector COLUMBIA — Football player Tim Tebow was among the featured speakers on the opening night of “The Big Weekend” in Maury County.  Tebow spoke at a worship service at Lindsey Nelson Stadium in Columbia.  The Big Weekend — formerly known as Disciple Now —  was held as a regional event in the Maury County area, with youth from more than 10 churches, representing 19 schools, coming together. 

Baptist and Reflector FRANKLIN — Mike Dawson will be  the new curriculum writer for the June-August quarter, writing the Explore the Bible series. Michael Julian, pastor of Macedonia Baptist Church, Trenton, will continue writing the Bible Studies for Life commentaries for June-August.  Dawson, who currently serves as transitional interim at churches around the state, has pastored two churches in Tennessee.  He was senior pastor at First Baptist, Columbia, from 1996-2005,
