VOICES RAISED, SAVIOR PRAISED AT YEC

FRANKLIN — In some ways, it felt as if the devil was in the details at this year’s Youth Evangelism Conference. Severe weather, logistical challenges and altered travel plans were just a few of the obstacles that could have derailed the event. But it was God, not the enemy, who orchestrated each variable of the 2025 YEC. And in the end, the perceived hardships just made the victories all the

BECAUSE OF THE RESURRECTION

It’s Passion Week. Good Friday and Easter offer followers of Jesus Christ a great opportunity for ministry, reflection and celebration. Seasons like this are always tricky for church leaders. We’re excited about the celebration of the cross and the empty tomb, but we also feel the pressure of additional ministry events, opportunities and adjusted schedules. And of course, we want our Easter sermons to be the best, most creative, most

BROWNSVILLE — Brownsville Baptist Church turned its celebration into a collaboration.  Rather than throwing a party to honor the church’s 200th birthday, Brownsville Baptist hosted a four-night revival that shined the spotlight on teamwork, unity and cooperation. DOOLEY NOTED: KNOWING THE WILL OF GOD

“Where should I go to college?” “Who should I marry?” “Should I take the promotion?” “How do I choose the right church?” All of these questions are a variation of the most common question I’ve gotten over the years as a pastor. “How can I know God’s will for my life?” For many, nothing is more mysterious and elusive than discerning how God wants them to live. The consternation and

FACILITATING HEALTHY CHURCH PLANTING

As the multiplying healthy churches team leader, I work with churches to help facilitate the starting of healthy multiplying church plants and replants. One of the key things that I do for churches and associations is identify areas/people groups that are underserved and under-reached with the gospel. This information is gathered through community analysis, demographic research and what I like to call “boots on the ground” investigation. This last approach
