LEADERS

Matt Crawford

Trinity Baptist Church, Cordova, has called Matt Crawford as senior pastor, following the retirement of Richard Hipps who retired last year after 17 years. Crawford has served three churches in Florida, most recently as the East Campus pastor for City Church In Tallahassee. He is a graduate of the University of Central Florida and holds his master of divinity and doctor of philosophy degrees from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Louisville, Ky. He and his wife, Christie, have five children.

Brian Warden has been called as pastor of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Mountain City.

Mark Smithey

Mark Smithey is the new pastor of First Baptist Church, Summitville. He has served on church staffs in Michigan. This is his first lead pastorate.

First Baptist Church, Manchester, recently ordained Brad Godwin, Byron Locklear and Matt McClanahan as deacons.

Abram Edwards has been called as pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, Smithville, effective Nov. 22.

Jerry Lee

Jerry M. Lee recently celebrated his 50th year in the ministry, having been ordained Oct. 25, 1970, by Hazel (Ky.) Baptist Church. He has served as pastor of six churches in Tennessee, Kentucky and Michigan and has held positions on the associational and state levels. In the last 21 years, Lee has served 15 churches as interim pastor. He is currently serving at Henry Baptist Church, Henry. He and his wife, Susan, have a daughter and a grandson.

Patrick Waller

First Baptist Church, Rutherford, has called Mike Kemper as interim pastor.

Avondale Baptist Church, Humboldt, recently called Bob Dennison as pastor.

Patrick Waller has been called as pastor of College Street Baptist Church in Tullahoma. Waller will be moving from Nashville to return to the church where he grew up. This is his first pastorate.

Johnny McCartney has been called as pastor of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, Bradford.

Mount Pisgah Baptist Church, Bradford, has called Roger Ellsworth as interim pastor.

CHURCHES

Brush Creek Baptist Church, Brush Creek, will hold its Life of Christ Christmas Drive-Thru on Dec. 5-6 from 6-8 p.m. The event is free but donations will be accepted for the Hats of Love Ministry. The church is located at 26 School House Circle in Brush Creek. For more information, call 615-683-8249.

Bruce became pastor of Leawood Baptist Church in November of 2000 and retired from Leawood East Baptist on Oct. 11.   • Edgefield Baptist Church, Nashville, recently honored deacon Marvin Agee on his 70th anniversary of service as a deacon. He was ordained on Oct. 1, 1950. He has held all officer positions as a deacon and numerous leadership positions in the church. He also recently retired from teaching Sunday School, after more than 70 years of teaching. (cont'd)
