GOTELL CRUSADE LEADS TO 341 PROFESSIONS OF FAITH

WHITE PINE — The GOTELL Lakeway Area Crusade, which concluded on Wednesday night, had a major impact in East Tennessee — and beyond.

The four-day event, held at the Walters State Community College Great Smoky Mountains Expo Center in White Pine, resulted in more than 850 decisions, including 341 professions of faith, said Dean Haun, pastor of First Baptist Church, Morristown.

“It was really powerful,” said Haun, who served as the chairman for the crusade. 

The crusade drew large crowds each night, including roughly 3,000 students — among the 6,000 attendees — on the final night. The event, led by evangelist Rick Gage, was fueled by the efforts of churches from multiple denominations in addition to numerous Baptist Associations.
