TENNESSEANS TAPPED FOR SBC POSITIONS

NASHVILLE —  Nominees for Southern Baptist Convention committees and entities have been announced by SBC President Steve Gaines, pastor of Bellevue Baptist Church, Cordova.

Nominees will serve if elected by the messengers to the annual meeting of the SBC, to be held June 12-13 in Dallas.

Tennessee Baptists selected to serve include:

Executive Committee: Chuck Williams, pastor, First Baptist Church, Covington; Ron Hale, Jackson (second term)

GuideStone Financial Resources: Chris Kelly, Third Baptist Church, Murfreesboro

International Mission Board: Phil Mitchell, Greenfield (second term)

LifeWay Christian Resources: Burt D. Landers, Shelbyville

Tellers Committee: William Maxwell, administrative coordinator, Tennessee Baptist Mission Board, Franklin

Earlier this year, Willie McLaurin, special assistant to the executive director of the TBMB, was named to the Resolutions Committee. B&R
