TBAH’s Kenny Cooper Sets Retirement Plans

BRENTWOOD — C. Kenny Cooper, president/treasurer of Tennessee Baptist Adult Homes, will retire Dec. 31.

Cooper announced his plans April 15 in a letter mailed to trustees of Tennessee Baptist Adult Homes based in Brentwood.

Cooper, who will be 65 in December, said his retirement comes at an “opportune” time for TBAH.

He noted that Jim Highland, director of development, will retire this summer. Cooper’s transition later in the year will allow the new president to have input on selecting a new director of development, Cooper observed.

In addition, TBAH will move to the new building that will house the Tennessee Baptist Convention Executive Board offices in two years.

The new president will be able to participate in the relocation process as well, added Cooper, a member of Immanuel Baptist Church, Nashville.

Prior to joining TBAH the Kentucky native served as pastor of Bellevue Baptist Church, Bellevue, for eight years. He also served as pastor of churches in Kentucky and Georgia. Cooper and his wife, Sherry, have two sons and four grandchildren.
