TBC CP Giving Rebounds in April

BRENTWOOD — After two months of giving less than $3 million through the Cooperative Program, Tennessee Baptist Convention churches rebounded in April.

TBC churches contributed a total of $3,376,035 through the CP last month.

After six months of the current fiscal year, churches have given $17,225,891.

The amount is $362,348 or 2.1 percent below what was given after the first half of the last fiscal year. The total also is $1,024,109 below budgeted needs.

TBC Executive Director Randy C. Davis is positive about the turnaround in giving.

“The Cooperative Program giving for last month represented the strongest April receipts in the last five years,” Davis observed.

“It is thrilling to know that TBC churches continue to see, the Cooperative Program as a primary method of financially undergirding Great Commission work across Tennessee and around the globe.

“Thank you Tennessee Baptists for you faithful support. In the words of my friend Jimmy Temple, ‘It’s been another good month!’ ”
