Eleanor Yarborough

DEATHS

Eleanor B. Yarborough, former director of communications for the Executive Board of the Tennessee Baptist Convention (now Tennessee Baptist Mission Board), died Oct. 27 at the age of 82. Yarborough, an active member of First Baptist Church, Nashville, served on staff for more than 20 years in other capacities. She retired in 2002. Yarborough is survived by her husband, Larry, two children and five grandchildren.

Longtime Tennessee Baptist pastor Harry “Raymond” Langlois Jr. died Oct. 25 at the age of 96. He served as pastor of Judson Baptist Church, Nashville, from 1971 until 1993 and, after retirement, fulfilled numerous interim pastorates throughout the South. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Langlois, two sons, two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
