TBC CP Gifts Behind Budget

BRENTWOOD — Tennessee Baptist Convention churches gave $2,940,748 through the Cooperative Program in May.

After seven months of the 2013-14 fiscal year, Tennessee Baptists have given $20,166,640.

The amount is $483,580 or 2.3 percent below what was given at the same point last year and is $1,125,027 or 5.28 percent below budgeted needs.

“On behalf of our Great Commission partners in Tennessee, throughout North America, and around the globe, I want to express deep appreciation to Tennessee Baptists that continue to give sacrificially, systematically, and regularly through the Cooperative Program to financially support missions and ministry,” said TBC Executive Director Randy C. Davis.

“It is remarkable that with a challenging missions and ministry budget and in extremely challenging times, we have subscribed 95 percent of the budget thus far and are only 2 percent behind the previous year’s CP giving,” Davis added.
