BIVOCATIONAL PASTOR TO BE NOMINATED FOR TBC 2ND VP

FRANKLIN — Bivocational pastor Dannie Bell of Whitesburg will be nominated as second vice president of the Tennessee Baptist Convention.

Keith Mowery, pastor of Buffalo Trail Baptist Church, Morristown, announced Oct. 24 he would nominate Bell, who has served for 28 years as a bivocational pastor in East and Middle Tennessee.

He recently resigned from Mount Zion Baptist Church in Nolachucky Baptist Association and is currently serving as a supply pastor for Bethel Baptist Church, Morristown.

Bell has served on the TBC’s Credentials Committee and has been active in Nolachucky Baptist Association, having served on committees and as moderator.

“Dannie loves the Lord and has a servant’s heart. He is an advocate for all pastors with wise counsel and a dose of humor,” Mowery said.

Other announced nominees for TBC offices are:

President — Todd Stinnett, pastor, Black Oak Heights Baptist Church, Knoxville, and Jay Hardwick, pastor, Forest Hills Baptist Church, Nashville

Vice president — James Griffith, pastor, South Harriman Baptist Church, Harriman

Second vice president — Dannie Bell

Potential officers can also be nominated from the floor of the convention. B&R
